Crane

To me this poem is about how people fight in needless wars. Then when the war is in full swing they forget what they are auctually fighting about, but continue to fight because they do not want to be apart of the losing side. This is an anti-war poem.

Mark Twain

"If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."
To me this quote means that if you never tell a lie you will have less stress and regrets through out your life. This quote is what i should try to live by, but i do not tend to follow this quote as good as i would hope.

Civil rights

John Brown was an abolitionist of the north who was maby a little to dedicated to helping the south slaves become free.  He broke into Harpers Ferry and stole guns tring to start a slave rebellion.  The rebellion ever came and he was captured and tried for treason.  Mr. Brown was a big step from Malcom X, but people thought that Malcom X was a radacialist and people thought the same thing of John Brown.  John Brown was probly one of the first people to fight for the civil right of the black population.

Walk through Harlem

I think that the dentist office is across from the red brick building on seventh street.  One of the links off of the page led to an African american baseball team.  The sisters said that they would enjoy to go to a baseball game.  I think that they would fit right in at a baseball game.  They seemed to like to be where the action is at and there is always somthing going on at a baseball game. 

This photo shows how cramped the slaves were in the ships in which they were taken from Africa to the Americas.  I think that the sisters were very proud of their heritage and what they had accomplished in there life despite people ignoring them because of their skin and people looking down on them. This was a very sad and somthing that should never be repeated again.

HOS

I feel that the PS3 is better than X-Box.  The PS3 online is free where the online for the x-box costs up to five dollars a month.  The PS3 has  a smaller controller that does not use batteries, so it saves even more money. Tyler Gustafson and I are sharing this topic, just from different view points. I think that the PS3 is better than the x-box because of all the reasons above.

Dickenson

These became part of that child who went forth every day, and who now goes, and will always go forth every day.  This last line really spoke to me, because every aspect of this poem is a part of this kids life and he is becoming one with the things around him.  I feel like i need to connect more with my surroundings, so i wish that i could be more like this boy.

She is saying that we should respect nature and preserve it.  We sin and do wrongs, but nature is perfect and does no wrong to anyone. 

antitranscendenta

I prefer the anti transcendentalists because they are i think more real about the world, they do not try to fool themselves with false ending where everything is happy and fun.  These guys know how to write literature that has true meaning as to how the world works.
