The Pit

The walls kept coming they would not stop.  I tried as best as I could to stop the walls. To no avail they still came slowly.  I was pushed to the edge there was no way back now.  I slip and fall down down down,  I know what awaits me and I am scared.  I Feel the shard spikes pierce my body and I die.

TEAM POE

I choose team Poe because I enjoy to read scary and entertaining poem and short stories.  I think that his way writing is very entertaining and imaginative.  I that my favorite piece of work that he has done is A Tall Tale Heart.  I like the mystery about the poem and the insanity of the man who is tell it.

connecting to nature

The tree outside my room is like my life. I have grown up with this tree as the seasons change i change and and as the tree grows so do i.  The tree gets scars and is broken just like i am throughout my life. And one day that tree will fall just like one day i will fall and we will all be consumed into the ground and be recycled into the earth.

The skeleton in armor

I think that this poem is perfect for a fire side poem.  I has action and has a good beat to it where people could get very into it.  The plot is not very deep and it has some intense sexual situations in it so it is a great poem for your little kids and parents.  I like how the poem told a story and went some where with it.  I do not like poetry that does not flow or go anywhere.

Mcarthy

In this video McCarthy seems like an evil man who gave just a lot of random information to justify his cause.  Today he seems like a complete lunatic and he ruined people lives.  I Believe that he might have helped a few people but i think he did more harm than he did good.        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAur_I077NA

The Crucible

Act one of The Crucible introduced how Which craft came into the town. I think that the people in the town are hysterical and want something to do. I think that the girls in the town were upset about how much attention they were getting so they decided to get attention through which craft.  It is very upsetting to know that people actually died because of this

Puritan

I have lived my whole life in a little house on a small stretch of land.  Before I was born my father planted a tree in my backyard.  This tree was a tall and mighty tree and was called Martin and I was named after this tree.  As i grew older so did the tree.  As i neared my time of dieing I remember seeing the tree slowly lose each branch one by one.  So as i died so did the tree.  This taught me that nothing can last forever, not even the mightiest tree in the world.  srry for the late post i was sick all weekend and just got up to do this fast

Squanto

Squanto was part of the Native American tribe Patuxet.  He was very important in the survival of the pilgrims.  After the first winter when the pilgrims were barely hanging on Squanto taught the pilgrims how to grow corn, fertilize crops, and catch fish and ells.  With out his help the pilgrims would not have been able to survive another harsh winter.  He later died of what the indians called indian fever.  He begged the pilgrims to pray for him that he might go to heaven and have eternal rest with their god. He was a crucial part of the survival at Plymouth, without him the colonists survival chances would have been a lot lower.

Native americans

This picture shows the Native Americans farming.  When the Europeans first arrived in the new world hey put farming together with being Christian.  This of course was not true for the Indians.  The Indians believed in many different things Christianity was not one of them.  This picture show what the Europeans might have seen and assumed they were Christians.

Native americans

I think that the Native Americans were a very important and influential part of our society today.  They achieved what people today can only think of achieving.  They were one with nature and cared very much for everything around them.  The Native Americans made sure to never take to much from the environment, so that it would stay health and not become unbalanced.  I think that America being the huge consumer country that it is today should look back and what the Native Americans did and try to imitate them.  I know that it is impossible for us to create a stable system where we will never use more that we need and do not unbalance the environment, but they're steps we can take to make our resources last longer and become more efficient.
